The FIFA World Cup 26 is being hosted by three countries for 2026: Mexico, the United States and Canada.
The World Cup is scheduled to take place from June 11, 2026 to July 19, 2026.
48 teams will play a total of 104 matches.
Canada will host matches in two cities: Vancouver and Toronto.

HOW MANY MATCHES WILL TAKE PLACE IN CANADA?
Canada will host 13 matches, 6 in Toronto and 7 in Vancouver.
DO I NEED A VISA TO ATTEND A WORLD CUP MATCH IN CANADA?
Canadian citizens, Canadian permanent residents and US citizens do NOT need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to attend a World Cup match in Canada.
Citizens from the following countries need to apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA) before boarding a flight to Canada:

Players and match staff don’t need to apply for work permit to come to Canada for World Cup 26. You might need to apply for a TRV or an eTA, depending on your country of citizenship. Admissibility requirements still apply.
MEDIA & BROADCAST PERSONNEL
Members of the media and broadcast personnel don’t need to apply for work permit to come to Canada for World Cup 26. You might need to apply for a TRV or an eTA, depending on your country of citizenship. Admissibility requirements still apply.
FIFA-INVITED VOLUNTEERS
Volunteers who received an invitation from FIFA don’t need to apply for work permit to come to Canada for World Cup 26. You might need to apply for a TRV or an eTA, depending on your country of citizenship. Admissibility requirements still apply.
